New Pharmaceutical Plant to Be Built in Kaluga
On July 25, 2013 Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Vladimir Gurdus, Director General, D-Pharma management company, concluded an agreement to build NovaMedika pharmaceutical plant in Kaluga. This is a joint project of Rusnano OAO and Domain Associates LLC, a US venture fund.
The new production facility will be build in Grabtsevo Industrial Park. It will produce pharmaceuticals and medical products. The project participants are to invest about US$ 85 million. Over 100 new jobs will be created.
Anatoly Artamonov, speaking of the agreement conclusion, said: “We support such projects, for instance through training of pharmaceutical industry personnel in Kaluga Region”.
