On June 6, MAHLE, the global supplier of automotive components and spare parts, opened its logistics center, MAHLE Aftermarket, at Vorsino industrial park in Kaluga.
The total amount invested in the project is RUR 600 million. The center currently employs 44 people – all residents of Kaluga Region.
Creation of its own logistics and distribution center in Russia will bring MAHLE closer to its consumers in Russia and Belarus, allowing the company to deliver their orders as fast as possible.
Arnd Franz, head of MAHLE Aftermarket, noted that by 2015 Russia’s automobile market would become one of the largest in the worlds. “We are interested in localization, so it’s no coincidence that the MAHLE center has production facilities as well”, he said.
