Kaluga region sets plans for cooperation with Katsamonu Integre of Turkey, a major manufacturer of wood panels.
On October 21, 2014 a memorandum of intentions was signed between the Government of Kaluga Region and Katsamonu Integre, Turkey, in Lyudinovo. The memorandum provides for construction of a production facility to manufacture wood panels. The document was signed by Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, and Akturk Yildyrym, Katsamonu Integre member of the Board.
The parties have reached a preliminary agreement to build a new wood processing plant in Lyudinovo special economic industrial zone.
In the course of the meeting Anatoly Artamonov noted that Kaluga Region authorities were interested in development of Turkish business in the region. He also said that the joint investment project to be implemented in cooperation with the Turkish investor would be a success.

In 2013 Kaluga Region and Turkey annual trade volume grew by more than 3 times as compared to 2012 and exceeded US$ 50 million. A number of projects financed by Turkish investors are being implemented in Kaluga Region including the construction of Dubrava, comfortable residential quarters in Kaluga, a logistics center, a concrete plant and a construction yard in Vorsino industrial park. In 2012 SABMiller Rus ZAO became a member of Efes Rus, a group with participation of a Turkish company.
