Refcool OOO production facility commissioning ceremony was held at Borovsk site of Kaluga special economic zone on May 31, 2019. The plant is to manufacture climate control and refrigerating equipment. The ceremony was attended by Ilya Veselov, Minister for Economic Development of Kaluga Region, Sergey Morozov, Chairman of the Board, Thermocool Group, Montovani Mauro, CEO, Hiref s.p.a (Italian partner, manufacturer of refrigerating equipment), and Alexey Morozov,  Director General, Refcool OOO.

The company manufactures climate control and refrigerating equipment for industrial and civil construction facilities. It will supply products for oil and gas, energy, construction, chemical industries, agro-industrial sector and logistics facilities (warehouses). The plant has obtained ISO 9001-2011 certificate. 

The range of products manufactured by Refcool OOO will help promote import substitution in the Russian market of  climate control and refrigerating equipment. Moreover, its products have good export potential. The company to a great extent uses Russian-made components and raw materials. This is a hi-tech production facility applying the best international practices in the field of equipment manufacturing. The company has invested over RUR 437 million in the project. Over 200 pieces of equipment are to be produced every month.   

Sergey Morozov said: “This is a new milestone for Thermocool. On the company’s 20^th anniversary we commissioned the plant in Kaluga Region. I would like to extend thanks I would like to extend my thanks to Kaluga Region Government. Its support helped us implement the project in a short period of time”. 

Ilya Veselov in his turn noted that a modern efficient production facility was commissioned. He said: “This is the first plant commissioned at Borovsk site of Kaluga SEZ. It is a good example of a Russian industrial facility developing in line with global standards. Our joint efforts made it possible to build and commission it in a prompt manner. You are the first on this site, I wish you become the first in the market”.

Kaluga SEZ occupies two sites located in Lyudinovo and Borovsk districts of Kaluga Region. It has an area of  1,042 ha. Kaluga SEZ residents enjoy all benefits related to availability of engineering, transport and business infrastructure. Apart from that the also have access to federal tax and  customs benefits. The industrial development within the framework of Kaluga SEZ is to promote modernization of inductrial potential in southern and northern parts of Kaluga Region and is to create preconditions for hi-tech industry sectors’ development.
