In an interview given to leading Chinese media, RF President Vladimir Putin spoke about successes in implementation of joint investment projects with PRC, naming Kaluga Region as a positive example.

In the run-up to his official visit to the People’s Republic of China, RF President Vladimir Putin gave an interview to leading Chinese media, in which he emphasized that Russian – Chinese cooperation is entering a new stage and transforming into a comprehensive partnership and strategic collaboration.

Today, China is confidently holding the first place among Russia’s foreign trade partners. The list of joint projects that are currently being implemented by the two countries covers 40 priority directions and capital investments of around $20 billion.

Speaking about future directions for cooperation with PRC and examples of successful implementation of joint investment projects, the President noted participation of Chinese investors in the reconstruction of Kaluga Region’s airport and building of auto component and building material plants in the region.
