Vladislav Shapsha and CEO of Volkswagen discussed the prospects for their further cooperation
On July 5, a working meeting of the Kaluga Region delegation headed by Governor Vladislav Shapsha with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of ŠKODA AUTO Thomas Schaefer took place at the site of the Innoprom 2021 International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg.
Thomas Schaefer thanked the head of the region for the enhanced cooperation with the concern: “Kaluga plays a key role in Volkswagen’s presence in Russia, including Skoda.”
He recalled that during the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the regional governor Vladislav Shapsha and Stefan Mecha, General Director of Volkswagen Group Rus, signed a memorandum of intent to implement an investment project for the turbocharged engines production.
