On December 5 and 6, Kaluga Region hosted a delegation from the Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and Newly Independent States (ROTOBO), headed by the association’s Director Kunio Okada.

At the meeting with Governor Anatoly Artamonov, Kunio Okada gave a positive assessment to the dynamic development of the automobile industry in Russia. “Kaluga’s development model has become an example of successful economic cooperation between countries for us. We refer to Kaluga Region’s experience when building relations with Russian regions”, said Kunio Okada. 

During their stay in Kaluga Region, the Japanese delegation will visit several enterprises, including KADVI JSC, where Italian company Gervasi recently launched production, Gestamp-Severstal-Kaluga LLC and PSMA Rus LLC.

ROTOBO has nearly 200 members, including trade companies, enterprises from various industry segments, banks, securities firms, industry associations, passenger and cargo transportation agencies and local governance agencies.
