On the 31t of July on a working visit in Kaluga Region there was the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak. The temporarily in charge Governor of Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov introduced Dmitry Kozak to the activities of Kaluga International Airport and to work progress in preparation for the celebration of the 650th anniversary of Kaluga.
Kaluga International Airport was put into operation on the 25th of May. The airport connected Kaluga with industrial and resort cities of Russia: St. Petersburg, Sochi, Simferopol. The head of the region emphasized that in the coming months the flight geography would be extended.
Having took a favorable view of conducted work in the airport construction, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak made a pointed reference to the rational approach of the utilization of public and attracted funds in the construction of the airport, taking into account actual needs of business circles and people.
Dmitry Kozak examined work progress in construction of the Innovation and cultural centre, the second stage of the Museum of Cosmonautics, the reconstruction of cultural heritage of federal significance “Gostiny Dvor”.
