An official groundbreaking ceremony at the site of a new campus of N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University Kaluga branch was held in Kaluga on October 25, 2019.
Natalia Bocharova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Artamonov, Kaluga Region Governor, Anatoly Aleksandrov, Rector of N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Kliment, Metropolitan of Kaluga and Borovsk, senior personnel of N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University, academia, students and builders.
The campus of N.E.Bauman Moscow State Technical University Kaluga branch is to become an important element of Kaluga Region innovative infrastructure. It will be a communication, R&D, production and education site for hi-tech economy sector development.
The new campus will feature dormitories, an entertainment center, a sports center with an outdoor stadium (500 seats) and sports grounds, a multi-functional administrative building, education and laboratory blocks, parking lots.
The construction preparatory stage took several years. The project is a part of federal target investment program for 2019-2020. The campus is to be built by 2021.
