Staromikhailovsky Fish Processing Plant constructs a new facility and announces the launch of the innovative investment project in Vorsino Industrial Park

On August 14, at the territory of Vorsino Indutrial Park in the Kaluga Region, a solemn ceremony of laying the foundation stone for the construction of fish processing plant by Staromikhalovsky FPP, LLC was taken place. The event was attended by Vladislav Shapsha, Acting Governor of the Kaluga Region and Alexander Evdokimov, Director General of Staromikhalovsky FPP, LLC.

The primary activity of the enterprise is the production of canned fish and delicatessen products from both publicly available and valuable fish and seafood breeds. The high-quality products of the company will be manufactured for federal retail chains, consumers of the Kaluga Region, as well as for state customers.

Raw materials will be purchased mainly from the fishing companies in Russia.

The Company together with Vorsino Ice, LLC (Staromikhalovsky FPP, LLC and Vorsino Ice) intends to implement a second investment project on this site – a low-temperature warehouse (refrigerator) equipped with a modern automated storage system. The warehouse area will be more than 10,000 sq.m. with the possibility to store frozen products of more than 35,000 tons.

The total volume of investments for the two projects will amount to 3,000,000,000 Rubles, and the total number of new work places will be more than 200.

Vladislav Shapsha in his speech addressing the participants of the event noted that today's event was preceded by the great work performed by the significant number of people and the firm position of the investor. "These are new investments in the economy of the Kaluga Region, new work places, and most importantly – the opportunity for people to work, earn money and make their lives, as well as the well-being of their nearest better. Today, 117 investment projects are being implemented in the region on the territory of industrial parks, 78 enterprises have already been built and a total of 22,000 jobs have been created," he said.
