Kaluga International Airport Passenger Traffic in 2019 Grew by 2.6 Times

Kaluga International Airport JSC announces its business results for 2019.

134,377 passengers were served by the airport in 12 months of 2019, which represents a 2.6-fold increase as compared to 2018 (51,286 passengers), including  116,030 passengers o internal routes (86.3% of the total passenger traffic) and 18,374 passengers o international routes (13.7% of the total passenger traffic).

In 2019 the airport handled  644,841 kg of cargo, which represents a 158.2% increase as compared to 2018 (249,696 kg).

The total number of flights to and from the airport reached 2,575, a 54.7% increase as compared to 2018 (1,664 flights).

Such a drastic improvement was achieved through constant expansion of the route network, which both served new routes and increase the number of flights on the existing popular ones.  
Currently Kaluga International Airport serves nine domestic routes (Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Kaliningrad, Rostov-on-the-Don, Krasnodar, Mineralnye Vody, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, and Moscow).

In 2018-2019 it also served direct charter flights to Antalya, Turkey. On December 10, 2019 the first scheduled flight on the first international route (Kaluga – Erevan) was made
Currently tours are being offered, which include flights from Kaluga airport to popular tourist destinations (Antalya (Turkey), Monastir (Tunisia), and Heraklion (Greece)).
