Three new projects will be launched in the Kaluga Region with the support of SME Corporation

On October 29, the Governor Vladislav Shapsha took part in the round table within the strategic session of the Government of the Kaluga Region and SME Corporation JSC, dedicated to the implementation of state support measures for small and medium-sized companies. The event was held in the online format. Vladislav Shapsha and Alexander Braverman, General Director of the SME Corporation, discussed the importance of state support measures in the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the Kaluga Region.

Currently, more than 43,000 small and medium-sized enterprises function in the region. Of them, almost 10,000 citizens are registered as self-employed. According to Vladislav Shapsha, business support issues are always among the key ones: "SME Corporation is a reliable partner in accumulating business activities. It provides great practical assistance to the enterprises of Kaluga. For five years, the guarantee support was provided for 461 transactions."

Due to the national guarantee system, for today, small and medium-sized companies of the region have managed to attract consolidated financial support in the amount of more than RUB 14.5 bln. "In the current difficult times, financial support is especially important for the business community representatives for their further development, modernization and technical re-equipment," added Vladislav Shapsha. 

The round table included the presentation of three new investment projects that will be implemented in the region, which need the financial support of SME Corporation. Kaluga Flower Holding LLC plans to attract funds to produce a wide range of cut and seasonal flowers in 5 greenhouse complexes with a total planting area of 25 hectares. Foody Sosensky Company presented a project for the construction of a factory to produce pasta in Kozelsky District. The project of MAXIMED LLC was also presented to the public, which involves the construction and further development of the medical center in Obninsk, the main focus of which will be urology.

Total volume of investments in these projects may amount to about RUB 4 bln, also, business plans include the creation of 695 new working places.

"It is very important that during this difficult period, entrepreneurs show their strength, desire and willingness to move forward. We will everything possible to support them, we will try to use all the mechanisms of state support and opportunities of development institutions" concluded the Governor.
