On April 2, Kaluga’s PSMA Rus plant based at the Rosva industrial park held an official ceremony to launch the production of the new Сitroen Sedan.

The new Citroёn C4 Sedan is the first Citroёn in the C segment with a sedan body. The car was developed specially for Russia with consideration of its road conditions and climate.

Investments to launch serial production of the Citroёn C4 Sedan at the Kaluga plant were around EUR 120 million.

Bernd Shantz, COO for Russia, Ukraine and the CIS: “At the moment of the launch localization of production was at 34%. All key production stages are implemented in Kaluga. The plant works with 18 Russian suppliers, most located right here, who supply 70% of all components for the Citroёn C4 Sedan”.  

Nikolai Ovsiyenko, Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Central Federal District: “Kaluga Region serves as an example of efficient cooperation with investors not only for the Central Federal District, but for all of Russia”.
