Kaluga PCMA RUS: Launch of Production of Vans on New Platform and Establishing of an Export Hub to European Countries
July 20. The launching ceremony of the Stellantis Concern projects was held at the PCMA RUS enterprise in Kaluga:
- start of production of a new planform for the Peugeot, Citroёn, and Opel minivans and compactvans, and series assembly of export-oriented Diesel engines
- establishing of an export hub, intended for car and engines deliveries to Europe, Latin America, and North Africa. First deliveries are to start in the second half of 2021
- by the end of 2022, the plant will start manufacturing of the Scudo car (the Fiat Professional brand)
The automobile manufacturing corporation was established as a result of a merger of the Italian-American manufacturer Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) with the French Groupe PSA. The Kaluga PCMA-RUS plant is a part of the corporation.
