The Kaluga Region Infrastructure Project is Certified According to the IRIIS System

The Kaluga Region was awarded for the project to create railways in the Kaluga Special Economic Zone. This is the first regional railway concession agreement to be certified according to the IRIIS system. Following that certification, the project was awarded a Silver Level Award.

On December 6, in Moscow, a certificate was awarded as part of the final “Towards a Quality and Sustainable Infrastructure” session, which was organized by the VEB.RF State Development Corporation and the National PPP Center. The ceremony was attended by Vladimir Popov, Deputy Governor of the Kaluga Region, and Anna Lukina, Director General, Center for Public-Private Partnership of the Kaluga Region.

Kaluga Region is the only region in the Central Federal District that has successfully passed all stages of certification. That was possible thanks to the regional ministry of economic development and the investor represented by Russian Railways and their quality preparation and professionalism.

IRIIS is a quality assessment and infrastructure projects certification system created as part of the principles of quality infrastructure investments implemented in the Russian Federation in line with international standards.

The project for the construction and operation of the railway infrastructure of the Lyudinovskaya site of the Kaluga SEZ is being implemented thanks to the Ministry of Economic Development of the Kaluga Region acted as the concession provider and JSC Russian Railways as the concessionaire. The amount of investments is over 655 million rubles.
